The Huntley FPD (in Illinois) responded to a residential house fire around 2:30pm on 6/21 in Station 2’s still district. On arrival crews had heavy fire showing from the ‘charlie’ side and extending to the 2nd floor/attic. Crews made a quick knockdown despite the warm weather.

CLFRD arrived with smoke and fire through the roof of the banquet hall on Route 41 at Route 31 around 2am, fire was marked under control at 5:15am. 2nd alarm off box 5-341 was requested with CLFRD Tower 381, Algonquin LITH Truck 181, Wauconda Tower 341 and McHenry Tower 1281 all flowing their master streams in a defensive fire.

Lisle – Woodridge FPD (IL) Box Alarm
Heavy fire and smoke were showing on arrival, crews went defensive for a little while and Tower 51 was setup to use their master stream.

Wednesday we were out on the south side when we heard Battalion 19 reporting a fire @ 61st and Halsted. First-in companies had smoke from the roof of a 1-sty strip mall, 50×150′. Engine 116 had two lines lead out and Truck 51 was up cutting some holes. Fast changing fire conditions forced Battalion 19 to pull everyone out and go defensive which brought the Still & Box. In total, there were 4 lines led out by Engines 116 & 84. Squad 5 Snorkel and TL 39 went to work with their master streams to knock down the bulk of the fire.
