Working fire in Lebanon County, PA – November 27, 2015

Lebanon and Dauphin county fire departments responded to the building fire on Homestead Road, Grantville, PA in East Hanover Township on Friday morning, Nov. 27.  First arriving units found heavy fire & smoke showing from the auto salvage building.  Multiple tanker task forces responded for water supply.  A master stream was facilitated by Truck 12 (Ono Fire Co.) and Lebanon County’s Special Ops/HazMat Co. 50 responded to investigate some unknown substance(s) stored in the building.  Firefighters worked for hours razing the building’s remaining sheet metal walls to chase hot spots.

Garage fire in Kitchener, Ontario – November 20, 2015

20 November 2015, Kitchener, Ontario firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 10 Paige Place at 15:45. P2 arrived on scene and reported smoke and flames visible from an attached double garage. A quick 360 revealed the fire was contained to the garage. Crews knocked the fire down in five minutes. Box 690 on scene 1.5 hours providing rehab.

Grain bin fire in Baden, Ontario – November 20, 2015

20 November 2015, Baden Ontario firefighters were dispatched for a grain bin fire at 3702 Sandhills Road at 10:00. Enroute to the fire they called for a full response from New Dundee plus a tanker and quint from New Hamburg. Once on scene they reported a smoldering fire in a large new grain bin. Firefighters had to cut holes in the side of the bin to access the fire. The fire was under control in two hours, but crews were rotated to the scene throughout the day until the fire was declared out at 23:30 once the bin was totally emptied.

Box 690 on scene for two hours at the beginning of the fire and was called back to supply lunch for crews at 13:30.
