3-Alarm fire in Rochester, NY – July 19, 2017

Rochester (NY) firefighters had fire in a commercial laundry at 548 St Paul in the late afternoon of 7/19/17. The fire went to 3-alarms due to the smoke conditions and the difficulty of locating the seat of the fire in the large, maze-like building.

Working fire in Chicago, IL – July 29, 2017

I was in the neighborhood when Chciago’s 7th Battalion pulled up on a working fire in a three-story, brick apartment building at 3111 W. Diversey Avenue.   They had rear porches going with extension to a two-story house on Troy behind the fire building. He asked for a Box Alarm and companies made quick work of knocking down the fire. I arrived before the Box Alarm companies to find crews washing down hotspots.

Car into a house in Cambridge, ON – July 10, 2017

Few shots from an accident July 10, 2017 in Cambridge Ontario. A car ran into a gas meter on the side of a house. The accident cracked a pipe and a fire started on impact. Firefighters used two 1.75” lines on fog to move in and shut the gas meter off. There was no extension into the house. Box 690 provided rehab.
