While visiting my family in Lincoln, NE I took in this working house fire on S. 1st St., just south of the city center. Engine 13, Truck 1, Engine 1, Air 14, BC1, Truck 8, Engine 8, and the EMS Supervisor responded. Companies arrived to find smoke & fire showing with fire on the porch of the house and some extension. Crews had the fire knocked and under control quickly and operated for about 1 hour.

The Town of Sheboygan Fire Department conducted a house burn with the assistance from City of Sheboygan Falls and Haven fire departments at 4006 Highway 42 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Firefighters had been training in the house for the past month and the burn down had been scheduled two weeks ago but was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

Kitchener, Ontario firefighters were just finishing dinner June 6 around 19:00 at HQ when one of the captains noticed smoke out behind the station. P1 and the platoon chief decided to drive around the block to look for the source suspecting they had a grass fire. Two minutes later P1 radioed dispatch for a fully-involved garage or shed, flames through the roof, on the old City of Kitchener Public Works property. An additional pumper, quint aerial, and rescue were added to the call. A 30 x 40’ former welding shop was fully-involved. The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes. Only one 911 call came in after crews had reported they had a working fire.
Box 690 provided rehab for the call.

Kitchener (ON) firefighters were dispatched for a fire under a machine June 7 at 5:35. Firefighters have been to this building numerous times over the years for similar fires. The fires are usually knocked down quickly with minimal damage. This fire was tougher to knock down, firefighters had to use high expansion foam. Damage could run as high as $500,000 to the machine. P1 was second due pump on this call. Very busy shift for them, they didn’t clear a shed fire behind their station until 3:30. Box 690 provided rehab.

The Trinidad neighborhood was the scene of a working fire on the evening of Tuesday, June 2nd. The blaze was reported shortly before 9PM in a two-story condo building at 1218 Staples Street NE. First arriving units reported smoke from the roof and fire showing from an airshaft in the rear.
Firefighters gained access to find fire on the first floor that extended above to the second floor and attic. A working fire dispatch was sounded as lines attacked the fire on all levels while trucks opened up to expose hidden flames in the walls.
The blaze was brought under control without injuries to firefighters or civilians.
