Detroit firefighters fought a four-alarm fire early Friday morning April 7, 2023 at W. Davison and LaSalle. All the civilians from the four-story apartment building were rescued, with only minor injuries. During the initial interior attack, one firefighter from Engine 39 was noticed missing. A mayday was called, but he was quickly found. The entire structure is a total loss.

Jensen Farm Rd. 2nd Alarm (Oxford, CT) 2/3/23 – firegroundimages
OXFORD, CT – At approximately 7:44pm on February 3, 2023, the Oxford Fire Department was dispatched to Jensen Farm Road for the reported house fire. First companies arriving on scene found a raging wind-driven fire in a large two-story private dwelling. Members dealt with temps in the single digits (6 degrees F and much lower with wind chill), causing frozen hydrants and massive water supply issues, as well as a heavy wind that just compounded the night’s difficulties. The fire escalated to a 2nd alarm which brought multiple mutual aid departments to the scene as well as for station coverage during the incident. The family of four that resides at this structure was not at home at the time of the fire.
The Nunda Rural FPD (IL) requested MABAS Box 5-1371 to the 3rd level for a fully-involved two-story residential home in Prairie Grove, IL around 10pm on 2/2/23. Tender operations were used since there were no hydrants in the area.

12/21/22 New Haven, CT – Firefighters from the hill section arrived to find heavy fire showing from the first floor of a private dwelling. They also received reports that occupants were still inside. Hand lines were quickly stretched to knock down the heavy volume of fire emanating from the front porch. Searches were conducted by the trucks and rescue before companies had to back out in favor of an exterior attack. The fire rapidly extended to all floors. It took firefighters about an hour to bring the fire under control. Two civilians were taken to area hospitals with smoke inhalation. They were removed prior to the fire department’s arrival with the help of neighbors. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
On December 23, 2022 Detroit firefighters fought a four-alarm fire at 750 Canton Street at E. Lafayette. The block long, one- and two-story structure had several interconnected buildings and was filled with cars and boats. Frozen hydrants, low water pressure, blowing snow, zero wind chill, and high winds hampered the efforts of fire fighters to control the fire.

New Britain, CT had this 2-Alarm fire at 9 Grove Hill on 3/8/22 at 02:20. The police officers came upon this vacant building fire and when the FD arrived they had heavy fire in the building with clutter conditions. Decision was then made to go defensive.
