On 11-21-23 Chicago Engine 91 landed at 2701 N Pulaski with a fire in a 1-story warehouse. After about 15 minutes, Battalion 7 pulled all companies out, pulled a box, and went defensive. I arrived about 25 minutes into this fire. Engines 91, 76, 7, 69, 56, 43, 68 from what I saw were all pumping handlines and supplying aerial master streams to Tower Ladders 23, 14, 21, and Squad 2. Here are a few images from yesterday’s Still & Box with a Mayday Alert and EMS Plan I at 5539 S. Damen Avenue. One firefighter was transported in fair condition after the fire flashed through the front door. The building was a total loss.
Here are some images from a 2-11 Alarm fire in Chicago. There was a deep-seated fire in the basement of the 50×100 auto parts store. Even though the building was 200 feet south of Engine 49’s house, the heavy fire load in the basement prompted a defensive attack early on.
