Kitchener, Ontario firefighters battled a working house fire July 7, 2016. The fire originated in the basement of the semi-detached house. Crews initially hit the fire from a rear window with a 2.5” line and briefly entered the structure to attack the fire. Due to hoarding type conditions in the basement, companies exited the building after reporting high heat and untenable conditions. Firefighters located a dog in the house and brought him out to the relieved owner. Box 690 provided rehab.
