Here are some shots from a Full Still Monday evening @ 4637 s Riverside Ave in Lyons, IL. Two fully-involved alley garages. In total, five lines were lead out to get a knock on it.
Lyons (IL) companies had a working fire in a bungalow 5/27/16 at 4236 Leland Avenue. First engine had heavy smoke showing from the attic on arrival. 2 lines were dropped, and the roof was opened by Riverside Truck 1629. Some birds were rescued during searches, and the fire appeared to be mostly in the attic. Great job by companies on scene.
6-14-2015: The Lyons Fire Department was toned out for a smoke investigation in the area of 4016 S Gage. Before going en route, dispatch advised that they were receiving multiple 911 calls for a house fire. The police arrived on scene and reported they a working house fire. Lyons Engine 1312 arrived first in and led out a line to the front of the home. The front room window was popped and members fed the line through the window to knock down the visible fire. They proceeded to make entry, extinguish the fire, and check for extension. Riverside Truck 1629 opened the roof. Here are some shots.
Here is a synopsis of rigs that were working at the Lyons (IL) Box alarm on Maple Avenue Sunday. I was too late to get anything else. There were four rigs working on Maple in front of the fire building. Lyons Engine 1312 was directly in front with McCook Engine 1411 directly north of them. Riverside Truck 1629 was working directly to the south of 1312 and Bedford Park Truck 709 was set up directly to the south of them. Lyons Engine 1316 had a hydrant on the corner of Maple and 41st Place. From there, there was a long lead to the Cermak Quarry where Berwyn Engine 903 was drafting from the pond. Forest View Engine 813 was originally set up in that position but was not pumping. Finally, Lyons Engine 1311 had a hydrant at the corner of Joliet Road and Elm Avenue, a good two-plus blocks south of the fire building.

Harvey, IL Full Still Alarm house fire:
Just three quick shots from Harvey’s full still Sunday afternoon. I did not arrive in time to get much but with the nice sunlight and blue skies, I thought I would send in a couple of rig shots. Harvey’s first-in engine was the ex-Dixmoor Engine 33. Fire was in the rear porches and gave off an impressive header. Companies did a great job of keeping it out of the attic and keeping it from extending into the rest of the structure which was an occupied residence.
At 1715 hrs Saturday afternoon, the Riverside Fire Department (IL) had a working fire in an apartment building at 2916 S. Harlem. Companies arrived to fire blowing out the first floor windows of a two-unit apartment. The fire was contained to the first floor unit and was quickly brought under control.
