Here are a few images taken recently in Chicago. This was a vacant home in the 19th Battalion. There was fire in the basement, first floor, and attic. Most of the initial attack was done defensively. Eventually companies went interior and mopped up.

Still and Box at 5922 W Erie in Chicago (IL), 2 1/2-story frame, 25×50, totally involved. Box on arrival by Truck 29
Got there 3-4 minutes after 96 and the group. Tower Ladder 14 members were on the roof.
Right after the 4th image was taken, 2-2-4 ordered members off the roof since there were no lines on the second floor and conditions were deteriorating in the attic beneath them.

Medford: On May 11, 2020, Medford Fire Alarm dispatched companies for a report of smoke in the area of Canal Street. While en route, additional calls came in reporting a fire in the rear of a residence set alongside the Mystic River. Companies had heavy fire on arrival and immediately struck a second alarm; a third alarm was struck about 15 minutes later. Due to the location of the home along the river and on a dead-end section of the street, companies fought the fire street side, in neighboring yards, and from a bridge crossing the river.
