Alsip, Illinois Box Alarm – 12559 Alpine – Fire in a 3-story apartment building, 1 victim was pulled out unknown condition.

Hartford, Ct had this 2nd alarm at 114 Baltimore St on 7/3/21 at 09:00. This was the first fire for Ladder 4 with their new rear mount. First straight stick in the city in about 30 years.

Cicero, IL companies were dispatched to 28th and Cicero Ave early Tuesday afternoon (6/1/21) for a report of flames from the building. Numerous calls came in and corrected the address to 4827 & 4829 w 28th Street. Engine Co. 3 arrived and reported heavy showing from the rear of a 2.5 wood-frame with exposure problems. Cicero F12 arrived on scene and boxed it shortly thereafter. F12 reported heavy fire in two, 2.5-sty buildings. Multiple 2.5 inch lines were dropped from all three Cicero engines. Truck Co. 2 made an aggressive attempt at a Milwaukee style cut, which ended up saving the rest of the roof of the one building. Truck Co. 1 was on the roof of the exposure and made numerous holes there as well. Mutual aid came from Berwyn, Stickney, Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Bedford Park, Lyons, and Riverside. All the companies on scene did a great job and made very aggressive interior and exterior attacks to save the rest of the buildings involved and the other exposures.

Manchester, CT had a 2-alarm at 01:44 hours on 6/9/21 at 140 Campfield St. There was a mayday as two members went through the floor from #2 to #1. Both transported with minor injuries. First-due got it as smoke in the area but before they left quarters it was upgraded to a structure fire.

Olive St. 2nd Alarm Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 5/30/21 
BRIDGEPORT, CT – Shortly before 6:30pm on May 30, 2021, the Bridgeport Fire Department received multiple calls for a fire at 370 Olive St.  First companies on scene found a large, 4-story, wood-frame residence with heavy fire showing on all four floors at the rear porches.  A second alarm was immediately called.  After an aggressive offensive attack, members were eventually pulled from the structure as the fire took hold of the attic and operations turned defensive.  In all, eight families were displaced, but there were no reported injuries at the time of this writing.

June 5, 2021 Three, three-story buildings in downtown Lapeer, Michigan were destroyed by fire. At the peak of the blaze, eight aerials were operating.  Four aerial platforms were operating on the “A” side, one on the “B” side of the structure, and three quints were on the “C” side. It took several hours to bring the fire under control. Ten departments responded on mutual aid.

Grand Rapids fire crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Leonard Street NE for the report of a house on fire. Companies arrived to find heavy fire on the alpha side of the structure on the exterior of the building with some extension inside. Engine 5 commenced fire attack and achieved a quick knock. Crews rescued 1 Cat from the residence.                

 Assignment: Engine’s 2,5,9 and 10 Rescues 1 and 2 Platform 2 and 3 Car’s 2,5,6,16 and 20.
