On 10/1/22, the Cicero Fire Department in Illinois received numerous calls for a structure fire @ 35th Street & 55th Ct. Cicero Engine 3, which is stationed two blocks away, arrived to find heavy fire showing from the rear of a 2.5-sty, wood frame, with a garage and a coach house going also. Chief F12 boxed it on arrival. Engine 3 led out 3 lines right away, while Engine 1 led out a 2.5″ to the alley and knocked the main bulk of the fire. Stickney & Lyons engines dropped 2.5” lines into the gangways to protect the exposures. In all, there were 6 lines working and Truck 1’s aerial master stream. Addresses affected were 3501, 3503, & 3505 S 55th Court. Crews made a great stop to what was an already well advanced fire.

Cicero, IL companies were dispatched to 28th and Cicero Ave early Tuesday afternoon (6/1/21) for a report of flames from the building. Numerous calls came in and corrected the address to 4827 & 4829 w 28th Street. Engine Co. 3 arrived and reported heavy showing from the rear of a 2.5 wood-frame with exposure problems. Cicero F12 arrived on scene and boxed it shortly thereafter. F12 reported heavy fire in two, 2.5-sty buildings. Multiple 2.5 inch lines were dropped from all three Cicero engines. Truck Co. 2 made an aggressive attempt at a Milwaukee style cut, which ended up saving the rest of the roof of the one building. Truck Co. 1 was on the roof of the exposure and made numerous holes there as well. Mutual aid came from Berwyn, Stickney, Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Bedford Park, Lyons, and Riverside. All the companies on scene did a great job and made very aggressive interior and exterior attacks to save the rest of the buildings involved and the other exposures.

Cicero (IL) had a Full Still the other night for a fire @ 3424 s Central. A 1.5 sty house with heavy fire on the first floor. Two lines were lead out and Truck 2 made the roof. Companies made a quick knock. – Chi-Town Fire Photos

1 1/2 story bungalow on 59th Avenue in Cicero, IL (12/8/16) – heavy smoke on arrival. First companies had fire on the second floor. Some gusty winds knocked over a ladder and injured 1 FF who was transported – condition unknown. Tim Olk

On July 3rd, 2016 the Cicero Fire Department received numerous calls of a structure fire at 38th and 58th Ave. at approximately 1600 hours. A full response was issued, with Engine 3 being first-due. They confirmed that this was a fully-involved garage fire at 3801 S. 58th Ave. The firefighters had a quick knock on the fire. The following units were on scene; Engine 2, Engine 3, Truck 1, Truck 2, Ambulance F-14, and Chief F-12.
