Elmira (Ontario) fire was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at 50 Aspen Crescent January 27 at 6:02. P1 arrived on scene to heavy fire venting out the front of the two-story, semi-detached house. Command requested Floradale on the second alarm shortly after arrival. The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes, all firefighting was defensive due to concerns of holes in the floor.
Crews went interior once all the visible fire was knocked down. Damage has been pegged at $350,000. The concrete fire wall between the units prevented the fire from spreading next door. Box 690 provided rehab to the 40 firefighters on scene. Photos start approximately 40 minutes into the fire.

Conestoga College pre firefighter students and Wellesley Township firefighters burned a house down 19 April 2013. The annual event gives students a chance for some hands-on firefighting in a rural setting. All firefighting is strictly exterior, supervised by career firefighters and trainers. Water was supplied from a creek located at the front of the property, approximately 600 feet from the house. Box 690 provided rehab and lunch for the 40 firefighters and students on scene.

Cambridge, Ontario fire dispatch received a 911 call for a house fire at 155 Samuelson Street 15 December 2016 at 10:00. Four of the five Cambridge stations responded to the older, two-story, semi-detached house. P5 arrived on scene with smoke showing. Firefighters reported heavy fire on the first floor at the rear of the house.
Dispatch reported there could be a person inside the home. P5 firefighters performed a primary search while A1 pulled attack lines to fight the fire. A steady 30 mph wind and 11 degree Fahrenheit temperature made for tough slugging for firefighters. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in 20 minutes but the fire traveled up the walls and spread to the second floor and through the roof around the chimney.
The adjoining house had extension through the wall beside the chimney which ran up the middle of the two houses. The fire was declared out around noon after a lot of cold strenuous overhaul. Box 690 provided rehab. Shots taken approximately an hour into the call, after a very slow drive from Kitchener in whiteout conditions on rural roads. Damage has been pegged at $250,000.
