Waterloo Ontario P1, P3, A1, and Car 23 were dispatched to 111 Abbotswood Ct for a car on fire in the garage June 5, 2017 at 11:15. Car 23 requested an additional pumper on route. P3 reported they could see a thermal column a mile from the fire. They arrived on scene to a fully involved two-bay garage with possible extension into the house. Firefighters pulled a 2.5” and 1.75” line to attack the fire, with 3% foam. The fire was knocked down quickly with no extension into the house. Damage has been pegged at $175,000.
