Grand Rapids fire crews battled two fires at this location within the same day on Tuesday. The second time crews found heavy smoke from the upper floor and opted to go defensive due to poor building conditions and firefighter safety. Several exterior hand lines and an aerial master stream were used to bring the fire under control. Assignment: Engines 2, 10, and 11, Platform 2, Rescue 1 and 2, Cars 3, 5, 6, and 20.
