Prospect Heights (IL) firefighters were dispatched at 25 minutes after midnight to a reported fire at 107 North Schoenbeck Road after a passerby spotted smoke coming from the roof area. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the building was charged with smoke and smoke was coming from multiple areas of the roof. A quick search of the building determined it was unoccupied and the fire was in the crawlspace. The fire was quickly extinguished without extension into the walls or ceiling.

Prospect Heights (IL) firefighters were called to 409 Etowah Avenue Thursday night (6/1/17) at 9PM for a house fire. First arriving units had fire showing from the B-Side of the house and made a quick hit from the exterior. The area is without hydrants and the first-due tanker was out of service. As Prospect Heights Engine 39 laid out 1,500′ of 5″ hose to a nearby school, Long Grove Tanker 55 supplied water to Prospect Heights Engine 9 in front of the house. The alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 for the working fire bringing companies from Arlington Heights, Mt. Prospect, Wheeling, Elk Grove Township, Northbrook, and the Palatine Rural FPD.

The Prospect Heights FD (IL) was alerted to a house fire around 3AM today (Monday, 11/3/14) at 1201 N. Stratford Road. While en route they were notified that a 14-year old boy was trapped inside and the other family members were outside. Several police officers attempted to search for the boy but were forced out by heavy fire conditions and smoke.

Arlington Heights Engine 2 was the first unit on-scene with heavy fire in the center of the house. The street is without hydrants and supply lines were dropped to an Arlington Heights street in one direction and to a shopping center across a four-lane road at the other end. Water was a problem for a short time as Engine 2 experienced mechanical issues that prevented supplying the lines. Additional lines were supplied from Prospect Heights Tower 9.

A Box Alarm was requested along with several additional ambulances as the two adults from the house and three police officers required medical attention. One ambulance was held for a possible rescue of the missing boy.

It was determined that the boy was not at home and he was later found elsewhere. Two people were transported to the hospital.
