DC firefighters responded on a Box Alarm to 1905 M St.N.E. for the report of an air conditioner on fire. Engine 10 went on the scene reporting smoke showing in the front, followed by Engine 8 reporting smoke showing from sides B & C.
Units found a room well involved on the first floor and with an aggressive attack of engine and truck work the fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes.
After a search, two dogs were located, rescued ,and happily brought to their owners. Elliot J Goodman
At approximately 13:20 Friday (5/16/14) TriComm dispatched a general alarm for a reported fire in St Charles (IL) at 1612 Ronzheimer. First arriving companies reported nothing showing. As I arrived about 5 minutes after the dispatch, companies were leading out a 2nd line and forcing entry into the garage. The fire was quickly knocked down, one small dog was rescued.
