Here are some more images from the 2-11 in Chicago on Saturday (11/15) morning. There was a fire in this same building back on February 15, 1999. The circumstances were very similar to this one. The 1999 fire was on a Sunday morning and started around 0700 hrs. Like this one, the fire was on the third floor of the building and had multiple people who jumped to escape. 15 were transported back then. Thankfully only 2 people were transported from this incident (that I was aware of). If you look in the one image, you will see a gentleman waiting patiently at his window to be rescued. His apartment was right next to the fire apartment but the woman who jumped was three windows to the south of the fire apartment. There was no smoke coming from her apartment at all. People tried to calm her down but she panicked and jumped 3 floors. Luckily, she landed on the muddy ground below and not on concrete. She was injured but conscious.
