01/12/15 Passaic, NJ – Passaic firefighters battled this stubborn dwelling fire in frigid temperatures Saturday. Firefighters battled the fire in the attic unsuccessfully before withdrawing the crews . Two additional alarms were transmitted bringing mutual aid to the scene. All members were removed from the dwelling for a defensive operation. The fire took about an hour to bring under control. Several members were injured from the icy conditions.

1/12/15- Around 1500 hours, Chicago’s 13th Battalion received a rundown for a working fire in a vacant Red-X structure at #26 S Pulaski. This 150×50, 2story ordinary, apartments over storefronts has been vacant for some years, and the structure was very suspect. As per Red-X protocol, crews stayed out of the building and dumped water from an exterior attack. Tower 14 and Snorkel Squad 2 worked elevated master streams. Four hand lines were stretched; two on Side A, one on Side C, and one on Side D. Engines 95, 38, 44, and 76 pumped at this fire. Companies on the Still & subsequent Working Fire were: E95 E38 T36 T48 BN13 BN12 (Safety) RIT BN14 T29 Sq 2 2-7-1 EMS 4-5-4 A23 A52. On the Still & Box: E44 E76 TL14 BN7 BN4 2-2-1 A10 4-6-6 4-6-8.

Still and Box Alarm Fire @ 9105 S Crandon in Chicago on Wednesday (1-7-15). Fire was in a 1.5 sty split level home. Engine 46 had heavy fire showing on arrival thru the front of the building. There was a person trapped who did not make it out.

01-05-2015 Greenleaf, WI firefighters were dispatched to Big Valley Rd. for the report of a shed on fire. Arriving crews found a large shed well involved in fire and upgraded initially to the Working Still level and eventually to the Box Alarm level for tenders. Brutal cold temperatures hampered firefighting efforts. The air temperature at the time of the fire was -9 degrees F. Several vehicles were damaged or destroyed along with a large amount of hay.

Departments On Scene: Greenleaf, Wayside, Morrison, Ledgeview, Hollandtown, and Wrightstown.

Firefighters from 14 fire departments battled a four-alarm structure fire  in near zero temperatures in the Village of Cascade, Wisconsin.

The call came in at 10:07 AM on Monday, January 5th at 504 Madison Avenue, which is the location of Arbuckle Floral. The 911 caller reported the apartment was filling with smoke according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office. The structure is a mixed-use with apartments over a floral shop. Fire departments were still on-scene 5 hours later including: Cascade, Adell, Batavia, Beechwood, Cedar Grove, Elkhart Lake, Greenbush, Plymouth, Waldo, Oostburg, City of Sheboygan Falls, Town of Sheboygan Falls, Town of Wilson and Boltonville.

One firefighter was injured. It is unknown how the firefighter was injured or the extent of his injuries.
