30 firefighters from three Sheboygan County, Wisconsin fire departments helped contain a garage fire in the Town of Wilson on Wednesday, August 26th.
The first-in crew saw heavy smoke coming out of an attached garage. Firefighters were on-scene for about two hours to keep the fire from spreading and limiting the worst of the damage to the garage.
Firefighters from the Town of Wilson, City of Sheboygan, and Village of Oostburg responded to the scene. The Cedar Grove Fire Department stood-by at the Oostburg fire station.
Firefighters responded to a fire on the Lakeland College campus in Wisconsin on Sunday, June 21st.
At 12:39 PM, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received a call about smoke inside the Hill House apartments at Lakeland College, W3710 Reineking Court in the Town of Herman. The first unit on scene reported smoke and flames billowing out of the windows of the apartment building.
The Franklin fire chief pulled MABAS Box Card 8-1-2 to the Working Still. Firefighters from Franklin, Ada, and Howards Grove volunteer fire departments responded to the fire scene as well as the Howards Grove First Responders and the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit.
A 22 year-old female student was injured and transported to the hospital by Orange Cross Ambulance. The fire caused significant damage to the residence hall, displacing 22 people according to the college’s Director of Communications. Hill House is one of 10 residence halls on the Lakeland College campus, a liberal arts college affiliated with the United Church of Christ. It was built in 1994 and is named for former Lakeland President Richard Hill.
Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Forest Blvd in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin early morning Sunday, June 14th.
A 911 caller reported seeing flames in the 500 block of Forest Blvd around 2:40 AM. When a Sheboygan Falls police officer arrived, he found a garage on fire which extended to a home. Two families are displaced due to the fire.
At least one person was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital by Orange Cross Ambulance. Injuries unknown at this time.
Responding fire departments included: City of Sheboygan Falls, Village of Kohler, Town of Sheboygan Falls, Village Cedar Grove as well as City of Sheboygan Falls First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance, the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit and the Sheboygan Falls Police Department.
The Town of Sheboygan Fire Department conducted a house burn with the assistance from City of Sheboygan Falls and Haven fire departments at 4006 Highway 42 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Firefighters had been training in the house for the past month and the burn down had been scheduled two weeks ago but was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

No people or animals were reportedly injured in a house fire on Wednesday, April 15th in the Town of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Just before 2 PM, the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1600 block of North 40th Street. The house is located near the town-city boundary.
Firefighters from the City of Sheboygan, Town of Sheboygan, and Village of Kohler fire departments responded to the scene as well as Orange Cross Ambulance, the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office and local utilities. While the home is located in the Town of Sheboygan and is served by the town’s volunteer fire department, units from the career City of Sheboygan Fire Department were first on the scene. Engine 1 responding from the city’s downtown Station 1 reported seeing a header two miles from the fire scene.
The fire reportedly started in the garage but extended into the home. It took several hours to control the fire. The cause and a damage estimate had not been release as of 11 PM Wednesday.
Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 3, Ladder 4, Med 3 as well as two battalion chiefs and a deputy chief from the Sheboygan Fire Department responded to the scene to assist the Town of Sheboygan.
A woman was injured and two cats died in a mobile home fire in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on Monday, March 30th.
Shortly after 5 PM, the Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the Indian Meadows Trailer Park. The home was fully-involved by the time firefighters arrived. An adjacent unit also sustained damage when that trailer’s siding and porch caught fire.
According to Battalion Chief Gary Kolberg, a female resident of the home sustained 1st and 2nd degree burns. The home was a total loss.
