09/12/15 Bridgeport, CT – A box was transmitted by fire alarm shortly before three a.m. for the report of a vacant dwelling fire in the area of Stratford and Hollister Avenues. Firefighters from Engine 6 could see the fire from their quarters as they turned out. Battalion 2 arrived reporting a two and a half story,wood-frame with heavy fire on the second and third floors. Companies went defensive right away deploying multiple hand lines, two multiversals, and the tower ladder. The fire was knocked down in about an hour. The cause of the fire is suspicious.
