|| SAFD || WORKING HOUSE FIRE || 09.24.26 || Saturday afternoon’s line of strong thunderstorms kept the SAFD and SAPD busy with plenty of work, including this 1-Alarm structure fire in the 1310 block of Cresswell Cove on the city’s far north side. First arriving Truck Co. 46 had “… fire through the roof of a 2-story residential structure …”, and stated that they were pulled a “green line” from the neighbor’s house for fire attack (some SAFD truck companies do not have pumps or a water tank). As first-due Engine 46 was caught up on another call, they requested the next arriving engine company to lay a supply line and pull a preconnect. The fire was held in the attic space and extensive salvage and overhaul was done to save the second floor furnishings. Companies stayed on scene for well over two hours completing overhaul. Units on the Box were EN46, EN14, EN43, EN48, T46, T43, T14, M46, EMS1, BC6, and a Mobile Air Compressor unit.
