Chicago firefighters battled a 3-11 Alarm fire in a three-story, 100×300 warehouse with mattresses on the first floor on the evening of April 30 during a downpour.
Kitchener (Ontario) fire dispatch 911 lines lit up at 16:40 April 30, 2016 for an explosion and fire at 97 Christopher Drive in Waterloo. Three pumps, 104’ quint, and platoon chief were dispatched to the fire. Responding crews reported smoke visible once they left their halls. Dispatch updated firefighters that there were reports of multiple explosions. P1 arrived on scene to a fully involved, single-family home. Multiple 1.75″ and 2.5” lines were pulled to all sides of the house. The fire was knocked down in an hour, damage will exceed $250,000. Box 690 provided rehab.
