June 22, 2015 14:35, Wellesley Township, Linwood, and St Clements stations were dispatched to 5903 Ament Line for a fire in the shop. Linwood reported smoke visible from the hall, and Wellesley was added to the call at this time. Linwood reported a large shop/garage fully-involved on arrival, with a large barn containing 150 head of cattle as an exposure. Two tankers were requested from neighboring Perth East station in Milverton. The fire was brought under control in an hour. A high hoe was brought in to pull the building apart. Box 690 provided rehab, serving over 100 cold drinks to the 30 firefighters and emergency personnel on scene.

Firefighters responded to a fire on the Lakeland College campus in Wisconsin on Sunday, June 21st.

At 12:39 PM, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received a call about smoke inside the Hill House apartments at Lakeland College, W3710 Reineking Court in the Town of Herman. The first unit on scene reported smoke and flames billowing out of the windows of the apartment building.

The Franklin fire chief pulled MABAS Box Card 8-1-2 to the Working Still. Firefighters from Franklin, Ada, and Howards Grove volunteer fire departments responded to the fire scene as well as the Howards Grove First Responders and the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit.

A 22 year-old female student was injured and transported to the hospital by Orange Cross Ambulance. The fire caused significant damage to the residence hall, displacing 22 people according to the college’s Director of Communications. Hill House is one of 10 residence halls on the Lakeland College campus, a liberal arts college affiliated with the United Church of Christ. It was built in 1994 and is named for former Lakeland President Richard Hill.

June 18 17:05 Kitchener (ON) dispatch received three 911 calls for a house fire on Plains Road at Huron Road. Two pumpers, tanker, rescue, 100’ quint, rescue, and Platoon Chief responded to the call. This shift had a fire at this abandoned home a few months earlier so they were very familiar with the house. The house was fully-involved with fire through the roof on arrival. All firefighting was defensive. Box 690 provided rehab for the fire.

Wilmot Township, Ontario, on Wednesday, June 10, at 6:00 am. A full response from New Dundee and Baden stations, and New Hamburg’s quint. Fire was in a 50’ high 80 x 80’ mulch pile. It took three hours to pull the pile apart to get all the hot spots. Box 690 provided rehab for the 25 firefighters on scene.

I got a couple shots at the fire in Plainfield, IL Friday afternoon (6/12/15). Fire was on Lincoln Highway (Route 30) south of Renwick Road.  M/A I saw was Lockport, Elwood tower ladder was operating along with Plainfield truck.  Napervile engine 6 also on scene and a few others I could not make out.

The Cicero Fire Department (IL) responded to a very well-involved building fire on Ogden Avenue during afternoon rush hour traffic on Wednesday, June 17th. As companies went enroute they reported a large black header in the sky. The fire was in a two-story, ordinary, auto body shop, 100×75. Companies encountered heavy fire on arrival and used three master streams and multiple handlines to knock down most of the fire. Companies on scene were: Cicero E1, E2, E3, T1, T2, F-7, F-10, F-12, and Berwyn T904.
