Images from Tim Olk of an industrial fire at the Gerresheimer Glass Co., 1131 Arnold Street in Chicago Heights, IL. The fire involved a furnace that spewed molten glass which was further complicated after a steam explosion.

2-11Alarm fire in Chicago – February 7, 2014

Tim Olk and Josh Boyajian were on-scene at Chicago’s 2-11 Alarm fire Friday at 2521 W.45th Place. The fire scene became a crime scene when the body of a woman, with multiple stab wounds was found inside the building.

2-Alarm fire in Tolland, CT – February 9, 2014

Tolland, Ct had this 2nd alarm fire at 731 Tolland Stage Rd on2/9/14 @1218 hours. Mutual aid from Crystal Lake, Ellington, Vernon and West Stafford assisted at the scene.

House fire in Carol Stream, IL – February 7, 2014

Carol Stream had a special alarm at 1337 Lance, came in as a fully-involved attached garage. Companies reported this as they arrived. When I arrived heavy smoke was pushing out the garage and 2nd floor. Companies were initiating an interior attack. After several minutes Deputy Chief 28 (Bob Hoff) ordered all companies out of the building as they had fire in the basement as well as the second floor. Flames were visible from the attic just as soon as Bloomingdale TL 23 vented the roof. An exterior attack was started using 4 hand lines  to control the fire.
