1967 Cessna 310N with unlocked front landing gear – Prospect Heights and Wheeling Fire Departments
The aircraft with 2 souls on board circled for approximately 90 minutes to burn off excess fuel before landing. The pilot did an excellent job bringing it in with no injuries and minor damage to the airframe.
Scottsdale Rescue 10/02/2018 – E McDowell Rd & N 77th St: A swift water rescue in Scottsdale, AZ. This was due to flash flooding from the tropical depression that hit the Phoenix area on the 1st and 2nd of October. No injuries to the victim and or the rescue team.
Glastonbury CT had this working fire at 138 Naubuc Ave on 9/24/18 at 03:46. Original call was for an auto fire. Retoned 3 minutes later as a structure fire. The fire caused the power line to drop into the fire and then the gas meter let go and the fire was gas fed which extended into the house. Once utilities were secured the fire was quickly extinguished. More pictures here:
Columbus, Ohio Division of Fire was called to the scene of a natural gas explosion early Friday morning (6/22/18) in the neighborhood just east of downtown. The blast demolished one house and damaged several others, sending two people to the hospital in critical condition.
The destroyed house was supposed to be vacant, and investigators remained on scene attempting to determine the cause of the blast.
Buffalo Grove (IL) police and firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Deerfield Road on Easter Sunday (4/1/18) for a one-car crash with entrapment. An ambulance from the neighboring Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD was first on the scene while responding to an unrelated EMS assignment. The SUV struck a tree in the center median and sustained significant damage trapping the driver’s left leg. The extrication was completed after roughly an hour. The cold temperatures prompted the use of a portable heater to provide comfort for the patient. Units from Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, and Long Grove were working at the scene.
