Prince Georges County Fire & Rescue units were alerted for the apartment fire on Monday, Oct. 19 at Green Meadow Way in Largo, MD.  First arriving units reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of a 4-story apartment complex and a 2nd alarm was sounded.  The heaviest fire was in the attic/roof area of the apartment with some extension into the top floor apartment unit(s).  PGFD knocked the bulk of the fire within 10 minutes but remained on the scene for an extended time to chase hot spots and perform overhaul.

More details about the fire including video from the scene are on the PGFD blog site

Many thanks to PGFD Chief PIO Mark Brady for sharing his photos from the fire scene upon arrival of first units.
