Sunday, (1/19/20) Chicago’s Battalion 18 and the group arrived to find fire in a 3-sty new construction apartment building, 40’x100′ at 4024 W. Wilcox. Fire was on the top floor and companies had a hard time reaching the seat of the fire. Engine Co. 95 lead out to the front and Engine Co. 38 lead out to the rear. With fire conditions worsening, 2-2-4 requested a Box. Shortly thereafter, crews got a good knock on the fire. In total, 3 lines were lead out and Truck 26 cut numerous holes in the roof.
