This one was at Coplin & Promenade on the east side of Detroit. Early morning fire that I took in but arrived after it was knocked. E50 stretched on a 2-sty vacant with fire on the 2nd floor.
This was a response to the Detroit River and St. Jean for a boat on fire. The first company on scene reported a fire on the old Boblo Boat. Engine 32 stretched over 1000′ of hose to their closest hydrant. Companies took a defensive posture using 2 hand lines and the Detroit Fire Boat E-16. We arrived about 10 min into the incident. Companies on scene were Engines 32 & 52, Ladders 6 & 31, Squads 3 & 6, Fireboat 1 (E-16), and Chief 6.
