The Oostburg Fire Department responded to a barn fire Saturday morning on Highway 32 in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.

In total, 8 fire departments responded to the scene including; Cedar Grove, Waldo, Haven, Plymouth, Town of Wilson, City of Sheboygan Falls, and Town of Sheboygan Falls.

Sheboygan, Wisconsin firefighters rescued a woman from the second floor window of her burning home on the city’s north side around 7 AM on Monday, May 26th. The woman was transported to a local hospital.

An early morning fire destroyed part of the St. Lawrence Seminary located at 301 Church Street in Mt. Calvary, in eastern Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The four-alarm fire was reported Saturday, March 8th around 5:30 AM.

Father John Holly told Wisconsin Public Safety that the fire ignited in the oldest building on the campus, which was built in 1870. He said that 190 students attend St. Lawrence Seminary, which is the nation’s oldest Catholic High School Seminary.

About three dozen fire departments from Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Calumet, and Washington counties assisted the Mt. Calvary Fire Department. No injuries were reported according to officials and all students and staff are safe. Firefighters said the building is considered a total loss.

One person was killed in an early Wednesday morning fire on Sheboygan’s south side.

At 12:02 AM, the Sheboygan Fire Department received a 911 call from a person reporting a fire at 1 Cheyenne Trail, inside the Indian Meadows Trailer Park. The caller reported a woman possibly trapped inside. The mobile home was about three-quarters engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at around 12:08 AM.

Firefighters did locate the victim inside the burning mobile home. The Sheboygan Fire Department transported three civilians to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries according to Shift Commander Gary Kolberg.

The woman’s name has not been released by officials.

He said there is no dollar loss estimate as of 9 AM; however the mobile home is a total loss said Kolberg. The fire is currently under investigation by the Wisconsin State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Sheboygan Fire Department.

The American Red Cross was also requested at the scene.

Firefighters were called to an apartment fire Saturday afternoon, February 15th, on Sheboygan’s north side.

Around 4 PM, Sheboygan Fire Department received a report of a fire at 1520A John Court, just blocks away from Fire Station 4. First arriving firefighters reported heavy black smoke coming from the back of the residence. The fire was under control within minutes. No one was injured.     Asher Heimermann

Shortly before 2 AM, the Sheboygan Fire Department responded to the 1600 block of Washington Avenue for a reported house on fire, with flames coming from the back of the residence.
