Hartford, CT north-end companies had heavy fire showing from the B side and rear of this 3-story, wood frame on 12/18/20 at 13:36. Companies made an aggressive push as fire extended to all floors.

Union, CT had this 2-alarm fire at 356 Stickney Hill Rd on 12/14/20 at 12:23. Union is the smallest town in Connecticut with a population of about 850 people. They get maybe one working fire a decade. This fire had mutual aid from both Conn. and Mass. departments as it was very near the state line. Patrick Dooley

Fox Lake firefighters responded to the 35000 block of N. Hunt in Ingleside, IL around 11 pm on 12/10/20. First-in companies were faced with heavy fire, multiple rescues, and water issues. Command went to a box for tenders, and manpower.

Tragically, 2 young girls perished in the fire, and 4 adults were transported to area hospitals in serious to critical condition. A GO Fund Me site has been set up to help. Evans Family Fire Fundraiser, if you want to give to a good cause, and help in this Holiday Season, Jeff R.

Chicago Engine Co. 38 landed with a fire in a vacant 3-sty “Red X” building at 1259 S Homan Ave. They had heavy fire throughout the rear of the building and extending up to the third floor. Battalion 14 requested a Still & Box and transitioned the companies to go defensive. Tower 14 & Squad 1 used their master streams and pretty much knocked most of the fire. Engine 23 fed Squad 1 from the rear, and Engine 44 fed Tower 14 from the front.

11/18/2020 – Beach Park, IL
A homeowner was burning leaves when they blew onto the deck and up against the vinyl sided house. First arriving companies found heavy fire to the exterior of the home communicating inside, and into a detached garage. Command upgraded to the working still, and then to a Box Alarm. Crews were unable to make a safe interior attack. Two dogs reported inside the home, got out safely.
