Newport Township FPD in Wadsworth, IL responded to a 4,000 sq ft home that was well-involved on arrival at about 4:30 this morning (9/24/14). The home was located in an area with out hydrants, so the alarm was upgraded quickly to bring many water tankers (tenders) from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
The 14th Battalion on Chicago’s West Side received a report of a building on fire near the intersection of Pulaski and Ogden Avenues Tuesday morning. Engine 38 and Truck 48 arrived first-in around 0544 hours and reported they did have a fire, and requested a Still & Box. Battalion 14 arrived on-scene and reported heavy fire in a two-story, 50×125 commercial building. At 0621 hours and 0623 hours, the 2-11 and 3-11 Alarms were requested. Six master streams and four hand lines were used in an effort to surround and drown the fire. At 0802 hours, 2-1-6 struck out the 3-11. As of 1130 hours, companies were being relieved on the scene as they continue to chase hot spots and overhaul the structure. The building was reported to have a music recording studio on the first floor and a banquet hall on the 2nd.

This was the 3rd fire of the day for St Charles (IL), Came in as smoke in the area of Fox Chase and Persimmon, once companies went it route police reported the fire at 850 Persimmon Ct, fire was on the roof.

Hebron, Ct had this 3rd alarm fire on 9/20/14 @1519 hours. The fire was located up a very long driveway at 324 Jaggar Ln. Many mutual aid tankers were used for water supply.
