East Hartford, Ct had this working fire in the Rivermead Mobile Home Park at 33 Cheyenne Rd on 4/1/15 @1243 hours. The mobile home was well-involved on Ladder 2’s arrival.
Windsor, Ct had this working fire at 39 Summit Dr on 3/24/15. Members responded to calls reporting smoke from the windows and eves. Mutual aid from Blue Hills assisted Windsor at the scene.
Vernon, CT had this 2nd alarm in a vacant building at 63 High Street on 3/23/15 @2145 hours. Winter still has a grip on us as members had to deal with very cold temps, ice, snow, and a very hilly terrain.
Manchester, Ct. had this fire at 465 Buckland Hills Dr on 3/15/15 @0055 hours. The gas members caught fire and extended up the outside of the building. Members kept the fire in check until gas company reps arrived and were able to secure the gas.
Vernon, Ct responded to Rambling Dr on 3/7/15 for a report of a box on fire in the garage. Members arrived to heavy smoke and fire from the garage extending into the main house. With deep snow and no hydrants mutual aid was called for manpower and tankers.
Vernon, Ct had this 2nd alarm on 2/27/15. The fire was at 6 Davis Ave. at 2221 hours. Numerous mutual aid assisted at the scene and covering the stations. The cover companies caught a working fire 4 hours later.
With sub zero wind chills at 0941 hours the Manchester, Ct Fire Rescue EMS Department responded to 61 Theresa Rd for a report of an explosion and fire. On arrival the members had heavy smoke showing from the garage. One occupant was transported to the hospital and two cats were rescued. With the front walks not shoveled it created a challenge for the members to get a line in the front door. Mutual aid assisted at the scene and covered the MFRE stations.
