This was on May 13th, a fire in the 9th Battalion @ Edmore X Cordell. Fire was out on our arrival but we took some shots of the new rigs and some of the members mopping up. Companies; Engine 50, 58, 52 Ladder 23 S6 C9
A small fire in a dwelling @ Broadstreet X Burlingame. 42’s stretched and Ladder 17 had their main to the roof. Not much to see. Companies; Engine 42, 39, 40 Ladder 17 Squad 5 C5
A house fire in Detroit’s 9th battalion at Peerless and Casino. Ladder 23 was making the roof with a great push of smoke. Companies on the Box…. Engines 58, 50, 60, Ladder 23, Squad 6, Chief 9.
A box alarm at 16th and MLK in Detroit. I arrived as the 2nd engine was stretching. A vacant dwelling was pretty much allowed to burn down current with DFD policy when no exposures are threatened. Ladder 8 is the last remaining tiller in service and suffered mechanical damage at this alarm, it’s end may be near.
Saturday evening, March 24th, 2018. Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck responded to the corner of Woodward and Arizona for the report of a fire in a commercial building. This structure was on the NE corner, just across the street from Highland Park in Detroit. It was most recently used as a taxi company dispatch. Companies attempted an interior attack but went defensive shortly after with the truss roof in a compromised position.
Kimberly Ct & Grand River in Detroit on 11/25/17. Engine 42 sent on a Still Alarm for a garage fire. They arrived and requested the box for a 2-flat and multiple garages going throughout. Ladder 17 used their aerial master stream fed by Engine 40. Engines 34 & 39 also back stretched on this fire.
